TERRA 38 CASABLANCA

A watch that takes inspiration from the geometric mosaic patterns in the Hassan II Mosque in Casablanca. Rooted in a long historical tradition of geometric design, these patterns are built on principles of repetition, proportion, and symmetry. This approach reflects the idea of tawḥīd, the expression of unity through ordered multiplicity, a concept often embedded within such architectural geometry that also aligns with the philosophies of watchmaking.

THE MOSAIC MOP DIAL

The hand-tessellated Mother-of-Pearl dial features repeating forms with natural blue and teal color shifts that echo the mosaic tiles of the Hassan II Mosque. Built from simple shapes that come together as a unified whole, the pattern reflects a philosophy where order and harmony emerge through structured repetition. Lumed Arabic numerals are printed directly onto the dial, providing clear legibility while remaining culturally integrated with the dial.

THE FINISH

The Casablanca shares the same signature case profile as the Revelot Terra, finished with a blend of brushed surfaces and polished angular chamfers from the modern sword-shaped hands throughout to the bracelet. It is fitted with a distinctive screw-down angular onion crown, etched with a lumed Revelot star to enhance grip and water resistance. Crafted from 316L stainless steel, the case features Revelot’s signature angular bullhorn-style lugs and is topped with a domed “hat” sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating. Completing the design is a screw-down exhibition case back adorned with the same geometrical motif, ensuring a robust 100 meters of water resistance.

MOVEMENT

We have chosen a more robust and refined Japanese Automatic to go with the Casablanca. The Miyota 9039 is a reliable slim 24 jewel automatic watch movement with a smooth sweeping bph of 28,800. It has 42 hour power reserve, hacking seconds and hand winding capability with an accuracy of -10 to +30 secs per day. This workhorse premium movement is known for its longevity and ease of repair.

Our latest 316L stainless steel micro-adjust bracelet with quick release spring bars now fitted with screw links for easy and quick adjustment.

PRODUCTION PLAN

Due to limited availability of trusted dial makers to put together the hand tessellated geometric Mosaic MOP dial, the Casablanca will be released in two batches. Batch 1 is scheduled for delivery in early March 2026, while Batch 2 will arrive in late June 2026. Early bird pricing is available for the first 50 pieces only, after which the watches will be offered at the regular price.
