LIMA is the world’s only exhibition of its kind, focused on defence, maritime, and aerospace sectors. Held biennially in Langkawi, the 17th edition takes place from 20–24 May 2025, serving as a key platform for the Asia Pacific region.
The Limited Edition Lima Flieger is a robust 42mm Pilot watch packed with unique materials such as Damascus Steel, Grade 5 Titanium and 3D casted luminous numeral blocks paired with the workhorse Japanese Miyota 9015 hi-beat movement for accuracy and reliability.
CASE PROFILE
The LIMA Flieger is available in two distinct case profiles: Damascus Steel; famed for its rich history in ancient weaponry such as the Malaysian Keris dagger—and Grade 5 Titanium, which offers superior strength, lighter weight, and a brighter finish compared to Grade 2 Titanium which dulls over time. Both case variants are also available with an optional DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) coating, providing an added layer of durability with a hardness rating exceeding 600HV.
DIAL & INDICES
The LIMA Flieger draws inspiration aviation design, featuring a turbine-style dial. The 3D-casted numeral lume blocks are coated with Swiss Super-LumiNova, ensuring exceptional legibility in low-light conditions. This design combines mechanical precision with practicality, offering clear time readability whether in the cockpit or at night.
MOVEMENT
The LIMA Flieger is powered by the Miyota 9015, a Japanese automatic movement appreciated for its slim design and reliable performance. Beating at 28,800 vibrations per hour (4Hz), it offers a smooth sweep of the seconds hand and includes both hacking and hand-winding features. With a power reserve of up to 42 hours and an accuracy range of approximately ±10 to 30 seconds per day, the Miyota 9015 is a solid choice that delivers consistent functionality without compromising on value.
CASEBACK & STRAPS
The caseback features the LIMA 25 logo and is paired with our custom FKM strap—made from high-grade Fluoro-Elastomer rubber with stitched nylon canvas on top. Commonly used in aerospace and aviation, FKM offers exceptional durability, with excellent resistance to UV rays, extreme temperatures, chemicals, and seawater. It's non-toxic, non-allergenic, non-marking, and dust-resistant.
LUME
One of the key highlights of this project is the use of 3D casted lume blocks made from Japan Lume, adding depth and visual impact to the dial. We’ve coated a few layers of Swiss Super-LumiNova for its endurance advantage. If you’re a lume enthusiast, the C3 variant is highly recommended for its intense glow.
