TERRAFIN
A small collection that expands from the creation of the Nishikigoi watch, drawing inspiration from a diverse range of freshwater and saltwater species. Each timepiece showcases the natural beauty of mother-of-pearl through a variety of distinctive nacre finishes. From meticulously hand-tessellated mosaics to intricate CNC-engraved MOP, each design is crafted to capture the mesmerizing interplay of light found in the material. The result is a collection of truly unique and captivating dials that shimmer, refract, and dances with the light.
THE DIAL
The Terrafin collection explores a variety of specialized Mother-of-Pearl dial-making techniques, from hand-tessellated Mosaic MOP dials to precision CNC-engraved Tahitian MOP. A standout example is the Terrafin Parrotfish, which features a very unique coloring process to achieve a remarkable spectrum of hues that shift from deep blue to turquoise and subtle shades of green depending on the lighting and viewing angle. The collection will also feature Baton style 3d lumed blocks with numeric on 3,6 and 9 and a fish scale shaped lume at 12.
THE FINISH
The Terrafin retains the case architecture of the Revelot Terra, seamlessly blending brushed surfaces with polished angular chamfers for a sculpted, dynamic profile. Crafted in 316L stainless steel, it features our signature angular bullhorn-style lugs and topped with a domed “hat” sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating. A lumed screw-down angular onion crown is added to ensure secure grip at 100M of water resistance. Completing the design, a screw-down exhibition case back teases the 9039 movement beneath with a gold fish scale pattern. The sword-shaped hands, finished with brushed and polished facets and laced with Swiss Super-LumiNova, ensuring strong legibility while maintaining the same refined finishing language throughout.
MOVEMENT
We have chosen a more robust and refined Japanese Automatic to go with the Terrafin. The Miyota 9039 is a reliable slim 24 jewel automatic watch movement with a smooth sweeping bph of 28,800. It has 42 hour power reserve, hacking seconds and hand winding capability with an accuracy of -10 to +30 secs per day. This workhorse premium movement is known for its longevity and ease of repair.
